Music Circus Tent

Oils on Canvas 36x24. In 1951 Producers Russell Lewis and Howard Young brought to Sacramento live theatrical performances under a large circus tent. Since that time Music Circus has produced Northern California's best Broadway style Musical Theatre every summer for over 50 years. In 2003 the new Well's Fargo Pavillion a permanent structure replaced the circus tent. Depicted here is the last Music Circus tent. This is not my finest work. It is however one of a series of paintings that actually sold. The series of Music Circus tent portraits is also a lobor of love as one of many people to have the honor of working and performing under the blue and green stripes.
